FEATURED JOB:  MECHANIC

Aloha mai! We're looking for an experienced Mechanic to join our Transportation team at our Kohou Bus Facility in Honolulu. This role is critical to keeping our fleet of school buses, trucks, and passenger vehicles safe, reliable, and road-ready.

What You’ll Do:

  • Diagnose, service, and repair gas & diesel buses and fleet vehicles
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and emergency road calls
  • Repair engines, transmissions, electrical, air, brake, suspension, and exhaust systems
  • Conduct body repairs (windows, doors, hatches, etc.)
  • Use a CMMS to track labor, parts, and repair costs
  • Ensure all work meets DOT, EPA, and manufacturer standards

What You Bring:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of hands-on mechanic experience
  • CDL Class B with Passenger (P) endorsement
  • Experience with computerized diagnostics & laptop-based troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment, electrical, and air systems
  • Strong communication skills (including two-way radio use)
